Watch for Seals and Other Wildlife with Captain Lou Fleet
The summer and fall months may be perfect for whale watching, but come winter, it’s time to view Long Island harbor seals! Join us this winter and spring on a seal watching tour for a unique winter water experience.
View winter harbor seal populations throughout Hempstead Bay. Our onboard naturalist discusses the biology and behavior of seals and other marine life encountered, and is happy to educate you and answer any questions you might have about the amazing species found around Long Island. Don’t let the winter weather stop you! The boat has a heated cabin and warm beverages available onboard. Keep your camera and binoculars ready to capture awe-inspiring animal close-ups.
When you book a Captain Lou Fleet seal watching tour, you’re also doing your part to protect the local environment. 50% of all cruise proceeds are donated to the Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation for the rehabilitation of local seals and other marine wildlife in need of help.
